Harry Johnson, 69, of Roanoke, Va., formerly of Pearisburg, Va., passed away Saturday, March 31, 2007 after a long illness.

Born January 7, 1939 at Ballard, W.Va., to the late Mae E. And Theodore R. Johnson. He retired in 2000, after 27 years of loyal and devoted service to Appalachian Power Company.

He leaves to cherish his memory a loving family, daughter, Ethel Marie “Rita” of White Sulphur Springs, W.Va.; sons, Harry Tyrone and wife Nichelle of Woodbridge, Va., and Harold Thomas of Roanoke, Va.; six grandchildren, Kefnee, Shawnta, Ashley, NaShay, and twins, Noah and Tayah; five great-grandchildren; brothers, his twin, Harold and wife Brenda of Pearisburg, Va., Theodore “Ted” and wife Minnie of Ballard, W.Va., Billie and wife Jung Soon of Burlington, N.J., and Paul and wife Barbara of Pearisburg, Va.; sisters, Alice and husband Jacob Natasulga of Alabama, Mabel of Hempstead, N.Y., and Drema and husband Ralph Beauford of Roanoke, Va., and a host of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held 1 p.m., Saturday, April 7, 2007 at Broyles-Shrewsbury Funeral Home Chapel in Peterstown, W.Va. Interment will follow in Mt. Carmel Cemetery at Ballard, W.Va.
