Johnson, Charles Robert

Charles Robert (Charlie) Johnson “Junebug” age 71 of Pearisburg entered his heavenly home on Wednesday, September 5, 2018 surrounded by his family. He was born in Richmond, Virginia to the late Robert and Elizabeth Pyles Johnson of Pearisburg. He was preceded in death by a sister, Ginger Collins.

He leaves to cherish his memory his wife of 18 years, Sharon Dunford Johnson, his children Melissa (Mark) Anderson, Bethany (Gary) Graham, Kim (Tim) Munsey, Derick (Stephanie) Body, Grandchildren DJ (Courtney) Blankenship, Garrett and Gibson Graham, Kyle Munsey, Kellan Alls, Zoey Body, Aidan, Evan and Olivia McDonald, Great Grandchildren Raylan, Sadie, and John Blankenship, and Matthew Alls, many nieces, nephews, family and friends, his special furry friend Shelby and his wonderful church family at Cornerstone Pentecostal Holiness Church.

Charlie was a 1966 graduate of Giles High School. He served in the US Army and retired as a Master Electrician from IBEW.

Funeral services will be conducted Friday, September 7, 2018 at 11:00 AM in Cornerstone Pentecostal Holiness Church on College St in Narrows with Pastors Keith Linkous, John and Millie Jenkins, and Eddie Kendall officiating. Burial will follow in Southwest Virginia Veterans Cemetery Dublin, Virginia. The family will receive friends at the church Thursday evening from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm.
