Johnson, Catherine Telehany

Catherine S. Johnson of Christiansburg, VA passed away Monday, November 29, 2021. Born to parents Michael and Anna Telehany on November 5, 1933, Catherine grew up in Corning, NY where she met and married her husband of 61 years, Robert (Bob) Johnson. Catherine worked for Corning Glass in Corning, NY and then Virginia Tech Animal Science Department in Blacksburg, VA, from where she retired in 1998.

Catherine was predeceased by her parents Michael and Anna Telehany, husband Robert Johnson, brother James Telehany and son Robert Jeffrey Johnson. Surviving are her brother Michael (Oranell) Telehany; children Linda (Chuck) Etzkorn and Steve (Mary) Johnson; grandchildren Christopher Winder and Jennifer (Gary) Mitten and five great-grandchildren.

The funeral service will be held at 2:00PM on Wednesday, December 1, 2021 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, Christiansburg, VA with interment to follow in Sunset Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to a charity of choice.
