Carlton Lewis Johnson, 61, of Pulaski, Va., departed his life on Wednesday, June 18, 2008, at Carilion Medical Center, after a long illness.

He was born August 5, 1946, to the late Homer and Annabelle Lewis Johnson in Radford, Va. Carlton attended Fred Wygal School and Christiansburg Institute.

Carlton leaves to cherish fond memories, his loving wife of 36 wonderful years, Judy Johnson; seven children, Savannah (Claytor) Davis, Charlene Arrington (Fiance Stefon Brown), William Webb, Thomas Webb, Elliott Webb, Felix Webb and Denise Abrams; 38 grandchildren; 20 greatgrandchildren; one brother, Homer (Ruby) Johnson, of Michigan; one sister, Betty Dungan, of Ohio; and an extended brother, Mike, of Dublin, Va.; dearest and closest cousins, Sarah Carter and Ernestine Calfee; along with a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral service will be held 2 p.m., Sunday, June 22, 2008, at Solid Rock Holiness Church, 204 Johnson Street, Pulaski, Va., with Elder Larry Carter as Eulogist. Interment will follow in Pinehurst Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Saturday, June 21, 2008, from 7 to 9 p.m. at the church.
