Anna Belle Crawford Martin Johnson went to be with her Savior on Thursday, April 16, 2020, at the Giles Community Hospital. She was born in Selbyville, WV on July 16, 1932, and was the last surviving child of the late Reverend Roy and Leta Crawford.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Leonard Martin; her second husband, Charles Johnson Sr.; and two children by marriage, Ginger Collins and Charles Johnson Jr.

Anna is survived by her children, Daniel (Jackie) Martin of Peterstown, WV, Phillip (Cathy) Martin of Verona, VA, Sarah (Mike) Estep of Morgantown, WV, Paul (Michele) Martin of Narrows, VA, and John (Rosemary) Martin of Ringgold, VA.

Anna is also survived by her children by marriage, Brenda Sue Fuller, Betty Jean “Totsie” Lang, Barbara K. Price, and Libby Kerr; and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.

Anna was a long-time member of the Rock Camp United Methodist church, and later in life, a member at Ingram Village United Methodist church. Anna’s lifelong passion was music. She enjoyed giving piano lessons, as well as playing and singing for her church and local nursing homes.

Anna was a loving daughter, wife and mother, who devoted many years of her life to others, raising her children and caring for her parents.

Anna was employed by Springfield and Riverview nursing homes, in the dietary department, but often spent extra time showing multiple kindnesses to the residents.

Anna loved to cook, crochet, quilt, garden, and enjoyed writing community articles for the Virginian Leader. She touched many lives and leaves her family and friends with many loving memories.

Due to the regulations associated with the COVID-19 pandemic, and out of love and respect for extended family and friends, a private graveside service for only the immediate family will be held at Swope Cemetery in Lindside, WV, with Rev.
