Jeys Sr., Kirk Douglas

Kirk Douglas Jeys Sr., 68, of the Trigg community near Pearisburg, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, December 23, 2008 at Pulaski Community Hospital. He was born September 22, 1940 at Portsmouth, Va. the son of the late George B. and Clara Overton Jeys.

He is survived by his wife, Carol H. Jeys; two daughters and sons-in-law, Anita and Harold Taylor, Chesapeake, Shannon and Steve Bates, Moyock, N. C. ; one son, Kirk D. Jeys, Jr., Chesapeake; one sister, Karen Fahrig, Knotts Island, N.C.; eight grandchildren, Ashley, Stephanie, Brittany, Michael, D.J., Summer, Joshua and Jacob.

Graveside services will be Saturday, December 27, 2008 at 3 p.m. at the Magnolia Meadows Cemetery at Trigg with Bishop Sam Chupp and the Rev. Shawn Wilburn officiating. The visitation will be Friday at A. Vest & Sons Funeral Home, White Gate after 1 p.m. and the family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m.
