Jessie Irvin Jewell, 73, of Pilot, passed away Wednesday, April 25, 2012. He is preceded in death by parents, Frank and Catherine Howard Jewell; son, Kenny Jewell; brothers, Ralph and Doug Jewell; and sister, Imogene Cunningham. He is survived by wife, Susie Jewell; sons, Bobby Jewell, Troy Altizer, James Altizer; daughters, Debra Thomas, Patricia Smith, Jessica Jewell, Debra and William Akers, and Connie and Danny Marshall; grandchildren, Elizabeth Smith, Leroy Elmore, Jackie Elmore, Amanda Akers, Jessie Akers, Kali Akers, James Smith, Shannon Smith, April Jewell, Sharon Ramos, Amy Duncan, Josh Jewell, Chris Jewell, Scott Lawson, Brandon Lawson, James Lawson, Allie Burton; great-grandchildren Brittany Smith, Megan Smith, Alicia Akers, Jocelyn Akers, Arianna Akers, Billy Hall, Kaitlyn Edmonds, Jared Smith, Rhiannon Elmore, Chase Elmore, Audrey Elmore; brother, Larry Jewell; sister, Carolyn “Sissy” Jewell; and special friends, Kim Woolwine, Dorothy Howard, and Claudine Vance. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, April 28, 2012, at Maberry Funeral Home Chapel. Interment to follow in Huffville Cemetery.
