Jewell, Evelyn Cooper

Evelyn Cooper Jewell, 96, passed away quietly in her sleep on August 30, 2021, at Diamond Ridge Health and Rehab in Lecanto, Florida, the evening before her 97th year of life.

She was born on August 31, 1924 in Scotts, Georgia to her parents Leslie Cooper and Zora Belle Cobb.

At fourteen years old Evelyn and her mother moved to Jacksonville Florida, where Evelyn met Jesse Harold Kierce. They were married on February 16, 1941. She then became a loving, devoted mother to Donald, Danny, and Robert Kierce.

In 1957, Evelyn married Richard D. Jewell, with whom she gave life to Richard D. Jewell, Jr.

Evelyn is preceded in death by her husband, Richard Jewell Sr and son Richard Jewell, Jr.

She is survived by her 3 remaining sons, 7 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great grandchildren.
