Olas Jennings, 95, of Dublin, passed away Friday, May 27, 2011 in the Highland Ridge Nursing Center. Born December 16, 1915 in Carroll County, he was the son of the late Phillip Jennings and Mattie Burnett Jennings. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Lena Odessa Coulson Jennings, sisters, Nina Belle Jennings, Gladys Davidson, and Ethel Davidson, and five brothers, Delbert, Elbert, George, Clyde and Berlin Jennings. He was retired from the Radford Army Ammunition Plant in security with 26 years of service. He was a veteran of World War II having served in the United States Army. Surviving are three daughters and sons-in-law, Juanita and David Price of Dublin, Rita and Chuck McKinister of Snowville, Marilyn and Roger Lovern of Richmond; son and daughter-in-law, Howard and Linda Jennings of Forest ; nine grandchildren; 17 greatgrandchildren; two greatgreat-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Sunday 2 p.m. at the Bower Funeral Home, Pulaski with Pastor April Milligan officiating. Entombment will follow at Highland Memory Gardens Mausoleum, Dublin with military honors conducted at the cemetery by the Pulaski VFW Post # 1184.
