Jennelle, Leverette Hale

Leverette Hale Jennelle, 73, of Radford, passed away Sunday, June 1, 2008. He was a member of Central United Methodist Church and retired from Bell Atlantic.

He was a veteran, having served in the U. S. Army.

Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Audrey J. Jennelle of Radford; a daughter, Jann Jennelle and her husband, Dana Shields of Roswell, Ga.; a son, Steven Jennelle and his wife, Jeanette, of New Castle; grandchildren, Briana, Dustin, Catherine, and Amelia Jennelle and Brendan Shields; and a sister, Nancy Stephens and her husband, Elmer, of Hampton.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 5, 2008 at 11 a.m. at the Central United Methodist Church in Radford with the Rev. Ric Wright officiating. Interment will follow in the Highland Memory Gardens in Dublin where members of VFW Post #776 will conduct military graveside rites.

The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to the Central United Methodist Church Building Fund, 803 Wadsworth St., Radford, VA 24141.
