Ruby Helen Jamison, 88, of Pembroke, Va., departed this life on Monday morning, October 11, 2010, at Glenwood Park Retirement Village in Princeton, W.Va. Born in Woodman, Ky., on November 5, 1921, she was a daughter of the late Luther Herman and Cora Maybelle Sansom Tilley. Ruby was a homemaker and loving wife of her late husband, Harry “Jack” Jamison for 58 years. Ruby and Jack were devoted members of The First Untied Methodist Church of Pembroke. She was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband Harry “Jack” Jamison. She is survived by his son, Dr. Russell Douglas and wife, Judith Jamison, of Richmond, Va.; her daughter, Sandra Jamison and husband, Paul Bock, of Hamilton, Va.; her four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a sister, Elizabeth Ann Carter, of Princeton, W.Va. Funeral Services will be conducted 10 a.m. on Thursday, October 14, 2010, in the Kendall Funeral Home, 605 Snidow Street in Pembroke with Pastor Rob Lough officiating. Burial will follow in Birchlawn Burial Park in Pearisburg. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday evening, October 13, 2010, from 6 to 8 p.m. The family request that flowers be omitted.
