Dionnia Rae Jamison “Jessie”, 84 of Pembroke, Virginia departed this life to enter the gates of Heaven on December 30, 2022. Born in Giles County, Virginia on November 12, 1938 she was a daughter of the late Ray Snider and Lorraine Sanders Lamb.

She was a proud Corncutter having graduated from Pembroke High School in 1957. Jessie would have told you her greatest achievement and joys were being with her family. She took pride in providing for them whether as a case worker in New River Community Action or cooking a meal, she may even let one get a spoon full of the fresh preacher cookies. Jessie so loved the children at head start. You could also find Jessie just enjoying being outdoors and exploring. Jessie practiced her faith regularly as a member of the Pembroke First United Methodist Church.

In addition to her parents, Jessie is preceded in death by a daughter, Debbie Akers; sisters, Joe Lafon, and Jannice Snider Richards; and brothers-in-law, Ted Lafon, and Dal Trenor.

Left to cherish sweet memories of Jessie in their hearts are her husband, Alvis Jamison of Pembroke; son, Rodney Jamison of Pembroke; grandchildren, Ashley Levitt (Jake), and Shannon Jarrells; great-grandchildren, Ava, Chloe, and Ethan Levitt; and sister, Jean Trenor of Ripplemead.
