James, William Emmett

William “Billy” Emmett James, 93, of Christiansburg, passed away on Monday, July 4, 2016. Billy was a charter member of Belmont Christian Church in Christiansburg since 1925 and was a man of his faith.

He was preceded in death by his wife Mary Anne James, daughter & son-in-law, Nora Sue & Dan Spangler and daughter, Dianne Dinan.

Left to cherish his memory are his son-in-law, John Dinan; granddaughters and their husbands, Denise & Gary Handley, Traci & Ray Valderaz, Karie & Brandon Wade, Katie & Eric Holfield; great-grandchildren, Raymond Valderaz, Madelyn Valderaz, Karleigh Wade, Jase Wade, Preslie Holfield and Jemma Holfield; caregiver and special friend, James Conley.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, July 8, 2016 at Maberry Funeral Home with Mr. Jerry Dowdy officiating with interment in Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Christiansburg. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
