Jacobs, Shelby “Jean”

Shelby “Jean” Jacobs, age 73, of Christiansburg went home Thursday, January 7, 2016, at her home surrounded by her family. She was born in Beltsville, MD. on February 9, 1942 to the late Osborne and Jessie Davis. She is also preceded in death by her husband, Curtis L. Jacobs and a son, Donald C. Jacobs.

Jean loved spending time with her grandchildren, baking and gardening. She was always thinking of others with joy and love.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Brent and Angie Jacobs, of Christiansburg, grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Noah and Maddox, sister, Doris Davis Mackey, brothers and sisters-in-law, Osborne C. Jr. and Charlotte Davis, Jesse and Sharon Davis, numerous loving nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be conducted Sunday, January 10, 2016 at 5:00 pm in the McCoy Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Richard Kingrea officiating. The family will receive friends from 4-5:00 pm Sunday evening prior to the service. Arrangements by McCoy Funeral Home, Blacksburg.
