jackson_chester_blairChester Blair Jackson Jr., 85, of Pulaski, Va., died Friday evening, December 10, 2010, in Lewis Gale Hospital Pulaski. He was born September 17, 1925, in Pulaski, and was the son of the late Mary Guwyn Jackson and Chester Blair Jackson. He was a retired employee of the former Klopman Mills, a longtime member of Aldersgate United Methodist Church where he served in numerous positions, a 1943 graduate of Pulaski High School, and was a veteran of World War II where he served in the United States Army Infantry. He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Eileen Frost Jackson; two sisters, Helen J. Dobbins, of Roanoke, and Betty J. Carper and her husband, Ike, of Roanoke; nephews, Blair Carper, of Atlanta, Ga., and Chad Carper, of Herndon, Va. His extended family includes Mr. and Mrs. Pete Richardson, of Pulaski, Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Frost, of Pulaski, and Mrs. Ida Kessinger, of Pulaski. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday December 14, 2010, at Seagle Funeral Home with the Rev. John Grimm officiating. Interment will be in Oakwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday afternoon from 12:30 until 2 p.m. service time at the funeral home.
