Jackson, Howard Manuel

He was a United States Army Veteran of World War II, retired from RAAP and retired bus driver for Wythe County Schools. Howard was preceded in death by his wife, Sylvia King Jackson and a brother, Earl B. Jackson. He is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Gwen and Marvin Blair, of Ivanhoe, Va., Pamela and Robert Lyons, of Max Meadows, Va.; one son and daughter-in-law, Jay and Tina Jackson, of Max Meadows, Va.; grandchildren, Chad Blair, Scott Lyons, Heather Pearman, Amy Morgan and Bradley Jackson; greatgrandchildren, Brittany and Emily Blair, Adam, Noah and Ryan Lyons. A graveside service will be held Saturday, December 18, 2010, at 2 p.m. at Odd Fellows Cemetery with the Rev. Ted Anders and the Rev. Don Crockett officiating. American Legion Post #9 will conduct graveside military rites. There will be no visitation at the funeral home. Reese Funeral Home, Austinville, Va. is in charge of arrangements.
