Peggy Amber Ivey, age 77 of Allisonia passed away Monday evening April 23, 2012 at the Lewis-Gale Hospital, Pulaski. Born July 11, 1934 in Gaston County, North Carolina , she was the daughter of the late Ira Wray Carnes & Elsie Pauline Jackson Carnes. She is survived by her Husband- James Cecil Ivey, III – Allisonia. Children & Spouses- Vicki McCarter& Bobby Armstrong – Clover, SC., Sherri McCarter & John Mizell – Clover, SC Chris H. & Cathy McCarter – Clover, SC., Melissa McCarter & Neil Phillips – Clover, SC., Traci McCarter & Larry Venezia – Clover, SC., James C. & Angie Ivey, IV – Charlotte, NC., Marion & David Almonds – Suffolk, VA. 9 Grandchildren – 5 Great Grandchildren Brother & Sister-in-law- Eddie Wray & Linda Carnes – Gastonia, NC. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon Friday at the Farris Mines Christian Church with Rev. Dennis Trail officiating. Interment will follow at the Farris Mines Church Cemetery, Allisonia.
