ingram doris farmerMrs. Doris Jo Farmer Ingram, 74, of Huntersville, N.C., died Monday, August 20, 20, 2012, at Presbyterian Hospital, Huntersville. She was born December 13, 1937, in Belspring, the 13th child of the late Robert O. Farmer and Mary Sue Miller Farmer. A funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday, August 24, 2012, at DeVilbiss Funeral Home in Radford, with the Rev. Val Rosenquist officiating. A private family viewing will be held from noon to 1 p.m. with the family receiving friends starting at 1 p.m. Interment will follow in Sunrise Burial Park. Mrs. Ingram is survived by her husband of 54 years, Fredrick “Butch” Ingram, daughter, Beth Dwyer of Stanley, N.C.; son, Fredrick “Scooter” Ingram, of Huntersville, N.C.; son, Rob Ingram and wife, Gina, of Stanley, N.C.; and five amazing grandchildren, Marla Schafstall, of Montoursville, Pa., Vanessa Schafstall, of Thelma, Ky., Jon Dwyer, of Boone, N.C., Kyle Ingram, of Cherryville, N.C., and Nicholas Veitch, of Stanley, N.C. She is survived by her sister, Eileen Farmer Rickett and husband, Eddie, of Covington, and Peggy Farmer Via and husband, Malcolm, of Oklahoma. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews that she adored. Last but not least, she is survived by her two precious babies, MoJo and Trixie, the cats that ruled the roost at home. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Mona Jo Ingram Schafstall; and siblings, Bill Farmer, Dwight Farmer, Newt Farmer, Clarence Farmer, Garland Farmer, Evelyn Moore, Margaret Winfrey, Helen Quesenberry, Bobby Farmer, and a sister, Mildred Farmer who died in infancy. The family would like to extend heartfelt thanks to Dr. Gina LiCause and her nurse Glenda of Lakeside Family Physicians, Huntersville office, for the wonderful care extended to Mrs. Ingram over the last several years and also to the many amazing doctors, nurses, and techs from Presbyterian Hospital Huntersville for their dedicated care during her hospitalizations in the last 9 months.
