kinkade-waterfallFrank Ralph Iannessa, 92, of Neptune, NJ, formerly of Boston, MA and Lincoln, RI, passed away on May 14, 2014. He was born in Chelsea, MA on July 3, 1921, one of five children of Mary and Pasquale Iannessa.

Frank served in the US Army Air Corp as a radar specialist during WWII and had a successful career as a millinery buyer in New England and New Jersey. He was a devout member of the Roman Catholic faith and a member of a number of parishes, the latest Our Lady of Mt Carmel parish in Asbury Park, NJ. Frank loved practicing his faith and was never shy about explaining the tenants of Catholicism to those who needed a refresher or reminder.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife Giovanina Rose Musto (Boston, MA) and his second wife Philomena Neff (Oakhurst, NJ), his brothers Robert and Richard Iannessa, and his grandson Michael Santsaver.

He will be greatly missed by his wife Margaret and his family in NJ, his brother Josesph, sister Joan and his daughters Patricia L. Boyle and Frances Horton (nee Santsaver) and son-in-laws, Stephen and John. “Caico” will be fondly remembered by his grandchildren, Jennifer M. Brinckerhoff, Jason C. Boyle and Justin P. Boyle and his great-grandchildren Wyatt, Luke, Riley, and Layla Boyle, and Nina, Ben and Megan Brinckerhoff and Mila Santsaver-Jones. Frank is also survived by many special nieces and nephews and life long friends.

A celebration of Frank’s life will be held on May 24, 11:00 AM at St Mary’s Catholic Church in Blacksburg, VA with a reception to follow in the Parish Hall. A memorial service will also be held at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church in Asbury Park, NJ at a later date. His ashes will be interred at Resurrection Cemetery in Cumberland, RI with Jennie, the mother of Patricia and Frances.

In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that contributions be made to the Carilion Hospice of the NRV, 707 Randolph Street, Radford, VA 24141. The family will be forever grateful for the acts of kindness and care given to Frank during his final months. Arrangements by McCoy Funeral Home, Blacksburg, VA.
