Hypes, Nadean Thompson
Nadean V. Hypes, age 70 of Rich Creek, VA, passed away, Thursday, July 16, 2009 at Carilion Giles Memorial Hospital, Pearisburg, VA. Bory August 30, 1938 at Kellysville, WV she was the daughter of the late Charles R. “Ras” and Lida Hill Thompson.
Nadean retired from the Virginia Department of Transportation and was a member of the Lindside Christian Church.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by four sisters; Lilly Williams, Clarice Johnson, Ruth Beasley and infant Gladys Thompson and three brothers, Arval, Marvin and Charles Robert “Charlie Bob” Thompson.
Survivors include her husband of 50 years, Henry A. Hypes, a daughter Linda Darlene Hypes of Highland Springs, VA, four sisters, Helen Neely and husband Kenton of Adairs Run, WV, Willmoth Owens of Princeton, WV, Maxine Nunn and husband Sonny of Lewisburg, TN and Hazel June Meadows of Princeton, WV, a special nephew Giles Leonard Lester and wife Norma Jean and their children Jennifer Lester, Angela Woodie and husband Chris, Tommy Lester and wife Michelle, and special “grandchildren”; Bailey Jean Lester, Natalie Woodie, triplets on the way, several other special nieces, nephews and an adopted family, Rodney and Tanja Vaden and sons.
Funeral Services will be 11:00 AM, Monday, July 20, 2009 at the Broyles-Shrewsbury Funeral Home Chapel with Minister Henry Conley officiating. Burial will follow at the New Zion Cemetery, Princeton, WV. Friends my call, 6:00 to 9:00 PM, Sunday, July 19, 2009 at the funeral home.
