Hyatt, Doris T.

Doris T. Hyatt passed away Wednesday, February 13, 2013, surrounded by her children and family. Doris was born November 28, 1929, in Narrows. She was the daughter of the late Jack and Minnie Robertson Thornton and the wife of the late Mack N. Hyatt. She was preceded in death by her oldest child, Linda, and one sister Vivian (Hare) Vaught.

Doris is survived by her children and their spouses, Michael and Gladys Hyatt, Jackie and Marion Ballard, Paul and Sue Hyatt, all of Narrows, and Ann and Jerry Cerreta, of Glendale, Ariz. She is also survived by her sister and best friend, Louise Wheeler; 17 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.

Doris enjoyed her family, reading, cooking, bingo, playing the lottery, and eating out.

Doris made it clear to her family that she would have no traditional service and only a private family burial. Therefore, in lieu of flowers and cards, the family asks that today you hug someone you care about, or send flowers or cards to a family member or friend and tell them how much they mean to you.
