Hutchison, Albert Michael

Albert Michael Hutchison, 67, of Galax, went to be with the Lord suddenly on Wednesday, December 28, 2016.

Michael was born August 30, 1949, in Christiansburg. He worked as a supervisor for Inland Motors for 45 years. Mike was well respected and he had many friends at Kollmorgen who will never forget him. Michael deeply loved and was devoted to his family. He was involved with his church and loved the outdoors. He was known by everyone to be a Godly, gentle, humble, and kind-hearted man. He will be greatly missed by his family and many friends.

He is survived by his son, Kevin Hutchison; daughter, Mary Beth Hutchison; grandson, Jameson Hutchison; brother, Dennis Ray Hutchison and wife, Diane Hutchison; uncle, H.M. Smith; nephew, Derek Hutchison; niece, Danielle Hutchison Via and husband, Jared; six cousins and their spouses and children; three great-nieces; and special friend, Teresa Roberts.

He is preceded in death by his parents; Albert Ethan and Katherine Elizabeth Hutchison.

Funeral Services will be conducted Tuesday, January 3, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. in the McCoy Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Mike Morris and Rev. Dennis Hutchison officiating. Interment will follow in the Roselawn Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Cornerstone Community Church P.O. Box 757, Galax, Va. 24333. The family will receive friends from 6-8:00 p.m. Monday evening at the McCoy Funeral Home, 150 Country Club Dr. S.W. Blacksburg,VA.
