Eula Peggy Keith Hurt, 92, of Greensboro, N.C., passed away Thursday, January 14, 2016 at Beacon Place Hospice Care in Greensboro. She was a long-time resident of Radford, Va. and was a member of Central United Methodist Church in Radford

She was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Larry William Hurt. She was also preceded in death by her parents Dura and Lizena Sutphin Keith; four brothers, Baby Leonard, Clarence, Claude and Fred Keith and a sister Hazel Keith.

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law Frances “Fran” Hurt Wood and Daniel Wood; granddaughter Dana Wood Martin; great-grandsons Jason and Ted Dwyer, all of Greensboro; sisters and brothers-in-law, Lydia Burgess of Floyd, Va., Clara Graham of Christiansburg, Va., Lula and Hassell Semones of Floyd, Va., and Freeda and Ron Trail of Atlanta, Ga.; brother and sister-in-law, Frank and Peggy Keith of Floyd, Va.; sister-in-law, Margaret Keith of Floyd, Va.; special niece, Lisa Bryant and her son, Jackson of Winston-Salem, N.C.; and a host of nieces, nephews, friends, and her church family.

A memorial service will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Monday, January 18, 2016 at Central United Methodist Church in Radford, Virginia with Rev. Don Shelor and Rev. Dr. Fred Austin officiating. Interment will be private.

The family will receive friends from 4 until 6 p.m. Sunday evening at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to the Central UM Church Building Fund, 803 Wadsworth Street, Radford, VA 24141.
