Hurt, John David

Dr. John David Hurt, 65, of Blacksburg, Va., died November 12, 2010. John graduated from Virginia Tech with a degree in electrical engineering in 1968 and from the Virginia Commonwealth University Medical College of Virginia School of Dentistry in 1977. After serving thirty years in the United States Air Force, he retired at the rank of Colonel. John was preceded in death by his parents, John Henry and Bess Crabtree Hurt. Surviving is his wife of thirty-three years, Claudia; his daughter, Stephany, her husband, John, and their children, Brandon and Victoria Hahn, his daughter, Lauren and her husband Dana Christensen; and his son, John Alexander Hurt.
