Hughett, Rev. Edgar Allen

Rev. Edgar Allen Hughett, 94, of Pulaski, passed from this life to his eternal reward on Saturday January 27, 2007 at Highland Ridge Rehabilitation Center in Dublin.

He was born November 19, 1912 in Pulaski County and was the son of the late Nancy Anderson Hughett and Arthur Waitmon Hughett. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Arvie, Hensel, and Andrew; sisters, Gracie Ward, Myrtle Meredith, and Elsie Caudill.

He was retired from Jefferson Mills and was a retired minister, having served in the Appalachian Conference of the International Pentecostal Holiness Church.

He is survived by his wife, Nina Dee Ballard Hughett of Pulaski; two daughters, Brenda Hughett Rowland and her husband Bob of Charlotte, N.C., and Barbara Hughett Jacks and her husband Sam of Matthews, N.C.; one son, Douglas Edgar Hughett and his wife Cecilia of Winston-Salem, N.C. Also survived by eight grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. at the Family Worship Center, 955 Memorial Drive, Pulaski with the Rev. Dr. C.R. Conner, and Bishop Kenneth R. Kingrea officiating. Interment will follow in the Appalachian Conference Pentecostal Holiness Cemetery in Dublin.
