Hughes, Mabel Irene

Mabel Irene Hughes, 86, of Blacksburg, Va., died on Wednesday, December 1, 2010. She was preceded in death by her husband, Melford Hughes; and a granddaughterin-law, Alison Hughes. She is survived by her son, Roy Andrew Hughes Sr. and wife, Brenda, of Blacksburg; a sister, Ethel Feihl, of New Jersey; four grandchildren, Carmela Smith and husband, Jackie, Dawn Renee McMahan and husband, Tommy, Charlie Hughes and wife, Laura, and Roy A. Hughes Jr.; a stepgranddaughter, Nichole Willis; and seven great-grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held 11 a.m. on Saturday, December 4, 2010, in the McCoy Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Gary McCoy officiating. Interment will follow in the Hypes Family Cemetery, Craig County. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday evening, December 3, 2010, at McCoy Funeral Home, 150 Country Club Drive, SW, Blacksburg, Va., 540-552-3211.
