She was a registered nurse. She is survived by her husband, Fred Hughes; daughter, Cynthia L. Todor, of Colorado; granddaughter, Lacey Lynne Witte; and greatgranddaughter, Leighton Elizabeth Witte, of Baton Rouge, La. She was the daughter of the late Howard and Edna Akers, of Willis, Va. She also has four sisters and four brothers who reside in Florida, Virginia and Maryland. A brother, William H. (Bill) Akers is deceased. Lynne was a Christian and the Lord has taken her home, where she will eventually be with husband, Fred, for eternity. A Graveside Funeral Services was held 11 a.m. on Tuesday, October 26, 2010, at Resthaven Gardens of Memory, 11817 Jefferson Highway, Baton Rouge, La.
