Hughes, Kenneth Ray

Kenneth Ray Hughes, age 47 of Dublin passed away on April 19, 2011. Born March 31st, 1964 in Radford, Virginia he was the son of the late Guy W. Hughes, Sr., and Ellen G. Hughes. Kenneth was a strong person who, while dealing with a body ravished by Frederic’s Ataxia, found joy in the simplest of life’s pleasures; he enjoyed the times spent with his family. Left to cherish his memory and forever mourn his loss is his brother; Guy W. Hughes, Jr., sisters, Janet H. Spurlock and Brenda Hughes, very special brother-in-law and dear friend who loved and cared for Kenneth as if he were his son, Michael D. Spurlock, seven nephews and two nieces. A graveside memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday at the Highland Memory Gardens, Dublin with his nephew; Kevin Spurlock officiating. A very special thanks to Kenneth’s aide Matthew Robertson for the love and compassionate care he gave to Kenneth.
