amem_fishinghole.jpgDouglas Allen Hughes, 76 of Narrows passed away Friday, July 13th, 2018 at his home on Wolf Creek.

A lifelong resident of Giles County, he was born on March 12th, 1942, and was the son of the late Clayburn and Irene Conley Hughes. In addition to his mother and father, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Flora Perdue and Vallery Mullins.

Douglas was a longtime employee of Radford Army Ammunition Plant. He will be sadly missed by friends and family.

Left to cherish his memory are two daughters, Carol Perdue of Rich Creek, and Sharon Long and husband Mike of Staffordsville; three grandchildren, Justin Martin, Kashon Long, Jaletta Price; two great-grandchildren, Ely and Lexi Price; a brother, Joe Hughes and wife Tina of Narrows; a sister, Patty Blankenship of Narrows; several nieces, nephews, cousins and many special friends.

Funeral services will be held Monday, July 16th, 2018 at 11 AM at East Chapel Community Church; 3759 Wolf Creek Road in Narrows with Rev. Joe Pack officiating. Burial will follow in Boyd Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Riffe’s Funeral Service in Narrows Sunday from 6 to 8 PM.
