Huffman, Betty Robertson

Betty Robertson Huffman, 77, of Pearisburg, departed this life on Thursday afternoon, September 1, 2011, at Wheatland Hills in Christiansburg. Born in Narrows on October 1, 1933, she was a daughter of the late Samuel F. and Gaye Clowers Robertson. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Narrows; had worked as a teacher’s aid in the Giles County School System; and worked with her husband in the operation of Southview Christmas Tree Farm in Craig County. She was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, James Robertson and Robert Robertson; and a sister, Geraldine R. Marshall. She leaves to cherish her memory her beloved husband, Dan M. Huffman; her daughter and son-in-law, Connie and Bryce McCall, of Pembroke; her granddaughter and her husband, Holly and Daron Williams, of Christiansburg; her great-grandson, Carson Williams; and she looked forward to the birth of a great-granddaughter in November; and several beloved nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Sunday, September 4, 2011, in the Kendall Funeral Home, 605 Snidow St., Pembroke with The Rev. Gary Poff and The Rev. Chris Brown officiating. Burial will follow in Birchlawn Burial Park in Pearisburg. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday afternoon from noon until 2 p.m. before the services.
