Huffman, Alma Martin

Alma Jane Huffman, 75, of Happy Hollow Road, Newport, Va., departed this life on Sunday afternoon, July 19, 2015, at Radford Health and Rehab Center in Radford. Born in Giles County on November 11, 1939, she was a daughter of the late Mark Wood and Mary Sarver Martin.

A beloved homemaker and mother she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Kerr Huffman; and her brother, Ronnie Martin. She leaves to cherish her memory her daughters and sons-in-law, Debra and Anthony Hall of Radford, Lisa and John Bradford of New Castle, April Fisher and Allen Moore of Christiansburg, and Hope Huffman of New Castle; her brothers and sisters-in-law, Bill and Eloise Martin of Maryland, Donnie and Billie Jo Martin of Pembroke, and Mike and Sarah Martin of Pembroke; her sisters and brothers-in-law, Martha and Bill Brown of Pearisburg, and Brenda and Bobby Younce of Pembroke; her grandchildren, Adam Shepherd, Ciara Burton, Shianne Bradford, Brittany Fisher, Page Fisher, and Ethan Fisher; and her great-grandchildren, Hannah Shepherd, Joe Shepherd, Olivia Burton, Addison Burton.

Graveside Services will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, July 21, 2015, in the Huffman Cemetery at Level Green in Craig County with Pastors Gary Poff and Eddie Kendall officiating. At Alma’s request there will be no viewing or visitation.

The family wishes to express their gratitude to Dr. Charles Judy and staff at Family Health Clinic in Radford, and caregiver, Shanna Akers, of Intrepid Hospice for their care during Alma’s illness.
