Hudson, Juanita Faye Blankenship

Juanita Faye Blankenship Hudson, 65 of Narrows went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, December 20th, 2012 at her home. A lifelong resident of Giles County, she was born on December 21st, 1946 and was the daughter of the late Kermit Fitchue and Zelma S. Blankenship. In addition to her mother and father, she was preceded in death by her husband of 25 years, Arnold Matthew (Shorty) Hudson; a son, Kermit Matthew (Huck) Hudson; and a special cousin, who called Juanita a sister, Regina Caldwell. Juanita was a retired employee of Celanese Acetate in Narrows with 23 years service. She loved trips to the beach and playing cards. A loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend, she will be dearly missed by her family and many friends. Left to cherish her memory are two daughters, Stephanie Hudson, and Brandi Robertson and husband Kenneth, all of Narrows; three grandchildren, Carol Dawn Cumbee, Daniele Cumbee, and Logan Hudson; two sisters, Reta Kellison and Brenda Myers, both of Narrows; a special cat, Buffy; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and many special friends. Funeral services will be held Sunday, December 23rd, 2012 at 2 PM in the Chapel of Riffe’s Funeral Service in Narrows with Rev. Dr. Jim Hagy officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Riffe’s Funeral Chapel Sunday from 12 noon until just prior to the service.
