Hubbard, Albert Hunter

Albert Hunter Hubbard, 85, of Max Meadows, Va., died Monday evening, November 19, 2007 in Wythe County Community Hospital.

He was born February 18, 1922 in Goodwell, W.Va. and was the son of the late Bertha Jenkins Hubbard and Albert Henry Hubbard. He was retired after 20 years as Chief Petty Officer for the United States Navy, and was a member of the American Legion.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Edward Hubbard; and four brothers, Ted, William, Jack and Kenneth Hubbard. He is survived by one son, Timothy Charles Hubbard and his wife, Maureen, of Hubbardston, Mass.; one brother, Gentry Hubbard and his wife, Rosalee, of Pulaski; three sisters, Virginia Graves and her husband, Clyde, of McArthur, Ohio, Peggy Brown and her husband, Horace, of Hillsville and Betty Finn of Staunton, Va.; two grandchildren, Kelsey and Morgan Hubbard; a host of nieces and nephews; and special friends, The Dot Stilwell Family.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 23, 2007 at 3 p.m. at Thomas M. Seagle & Sons with the Rev. Carl Ginder officiating. Interment will follow in Highland Memory Gardens, Dublin, where the VFW Post #1184 will conduct military honors.
