Hoyt, Josephine Neel

Josephine Neel Hoyt, 93 of Peterstown, WV died, October 31, 2016 of a sudden illness. She was born on September 29, 1923. She is a member of the Peterstown, United Methodist Church and A.A.R.P.

Josephine was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Edward M. Hoyt, her parents Robert Walton and Fay Lemons Neel of Union, WV, two brothers, Robert W. Neel Jr. (Rhoda) and Gray Hudson (Louise) Neel. Survivors are one son, Martin N. Hoyt of Lewisburg, WV, one daughter, Carol Jo Bush (Frank deceased) of Roanoke, VA, two grandchildren, Tammy (Fernando) Diaz and Michael (Carrie) Bush of Roanoke, VA, six great grandchildren, Juliana Diaz, Katie Diaz, Daniella Diaz, Andy Diaz, Caroline Bush and Bryce Bush.

Funeral service will be 2:00 PM, Thursday, November 3, 2016 at the Peterstown United Methodist Church. Burial will follow in the Green Hill Cemetery, Union, WV. Visitation will be 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM, Wednesday, November 2, 2016 at the Broyles-Shrewsbury Funeral Home, Peterstown, WV and one hour prior to the services at the church.

We want to thank the staff and personnel of the Carilion Giles Community Hospital and at Heritage Hall – Rich Creek. She was treated with great respect and loving kindness by everyone.
