Howell, Parley Eugene

Parley Eugene Howell, 85 of Pulaski, Va went home to be with the Lord on January 29, 2020. Parley was born in Kentucky to Walker and Osie Howell.

Besides his parents, Parley was preceded in death by son Jackie Howell and wife Darlene, step-son, John David Smith, two brothers, Charlie and Palmer Howell and sisters, Yuvon, Irene, Imogene and Madelyn.

Throughout Parleys life he worked hauling coal, chopped and hauled wood, cut and trimmed trees. He was a very kind and loving husband, father, grandfather and friend. He helped a lot of people through the years and will be greatly missed.

He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Della Wright Howell of Pulaski, son, Ricky Dean Howell, Sr. (Lisa) of Christiansburg, step-son, Basil Neil Smith, brother, Billy Howell (Pat) of Lexington, KY, sister, Sue H. Carpenter of Winchester, KY, five grandchildren, Ricky Dean Howell, Jr. (Emily), Scott Howell (Crystal), Matthew Smith (Cary), Jessica Miller, Tabitha Howell, Amanda Hill and Taylor Smith, special daughter-in-law, Missy and many great grandchildren.

Graveside funeral services will be conducted Friday, January 31, 2020 at 3pm at the Angels Rest Cemetery in Narrows with the Rev. Dr. Fred L. Austin officiating.
