Howell, Bobby Ray

Bobby Ray Howell, 63, of Floyd, passed away on Monday, August 27, 2007 at his home. He was preceded in death by his father, John Cline Howell and two brothers, Johnny Howell and Billy Howell.

Survivors include his wife of 40 years, Peggy W. Howell of Floyd; daughter and son-in-law, Kimberly and Richard Fox of Floyd; sons and daughters in-law, John David and Loretta Howell and Jackie Lee and Amanda Howell, all of Floyd; grandchildren, Thomas Allen Fox, Kasey Dawn Fox, Misty Eve Howell and Hunter Austin Howell, all of Floyd; step grandchildren, Missy Beth Newby and Gloria Newby, both of Floyd; mother, Haley Myrtle Howell of Willis; sisters and brother-in-law, Frances and Alvin Moles of Meadows of Dan and Priscilla Anne Poff of Willis; brothers and sisters-in-law, Charles and Pansy Howell of Hillsville, Allen and Glenda Howell and Donnie and Peggy Howell, all of Fieldale; and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, August 30, 2007 at the Maberry Funeral Home Chapel, Floyd with the Rev. Roy Turpin officiating. Interment to follow at Slusher Cemetery with Military Rites by Floyd VFW Post #7854 and American Legion Post #127. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, August 29, 2007 at Maberry Funeral Home.
