Howard, Tab Allen
Tab Allen Howard, 66, of Christiansburg, Va passed away peacefully at home on September 19, 2023. He is preceded in death by grandparents, Reba and Orville White and his beloved uncle, Wendill White.
He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Carol Howard; sons, Brad and John Howard; daughter-in-law Grace Brier; mother, Jean Donahue; brothers, Robert Howard and Ray Howard; sister Carla Hinz; aunts Geralene Porter and Debbie Mabry; uncle, Joe White; special sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Sarah and Lowell Spaulding; special sister-in-law and brother-in-law Alice and Jimmy Spaulding, as well as many more cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
Tab worked for 30 years as a retail store manager in the community, during which time he touched countless lives. He was devoted to his wife and boys, loved coaching them in sports and cheering the loudest from the stands. He will be especially missed for his wicked sense of humor and that mischievous twinkle in his eye.
As per his wishes, Tab requested no service. He will be cremated with his ashes to be spread along the New River privately at a later date.

John was a very nice and friendly person. And, humorous too! Robert & I enjoyed spending so many evenings and weekends with John and Carol watching our son’s playing basketball during their high school years, as well as, AAU. John enjoyed standing beside Robert as an assistant coach during the AAU basketball season.
John is at rest now with no more pain and a whole new body. Rest well our friend.
