Houseman, Winnie Marie Matney

Winnie Marie Matney Houseman, 84, of Radford, passed away Thursday, September 25, 2014. She was a member of First Baptist Church and was retired from Hercules.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack R. Houseman, parents, Edward and Ila Hash Matney, brother and his wife, J. C. and Marie Matney, and father and mother-in-law, Clax and Ann Houseman.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Mitzi and Wayne Barnett of Radford; sisters and brothers-in-law, Carol Sloan of Statesville, NC, Joan and Paul Lambert of Radford, and Katy and Johnnie Clanton of Statesville, NC; brothers and sisters-in-law, Bill and Dorothy Matney of N. Tazewell, Richard and Germaine Matney of Kernersville, NC, Danny and Diane Matney of NC, and Butch and Carolyn Matney of Statesville, NC; several nieces and nephews; and special friends, Louise Stafford, Joe Wilson, Henry and Vickie Higginbotham and Jeanette Hinkle.
Funeral services will be held Monday, September 29, 2014 at 11:00 am at First Baptist Church in Radford with Dr. Paul Lane and Dr. Gina Rhea officiating. Interment will follow in Sunrise Burial Park in Radford. The family will receive friends Sunday from 3:00 pm until 6:00 pm at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to the First Baptist Church, 215 Third Avenue, Radford, VA 24141.
