Housel, John Eldridge
John Eldridge Housel, 78, of Radford, passed away Wednesday, June 24, 2020. He was born in Mount Tabor, N. J., the son of the late John and Mary Housel. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Nancy Evelyn Zell Housel. John owned and operated H&H Tree Service.
Survivors include his daughter, Tracie Renee Housel-Laski of Atlanta, Ga.; son, J. J. Housel of Radford; brother and sister-in-law, Charles “Chuck” and Jane Housel of Radford; grandchildren, Jessie Housel and Jonathan Housel; nephews and niece, Elijah Housel, Joseph Housel, Frank Terry and Mitzi Terry; and many other relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends from 12 until 2 p.m. on Saturday, June 27, 2020 at the Mullins Funeral Home in Radford. Memorial services will begin at 2 p.m. with Rev. Robert Morris officiating.

So sorry to hear abut John. I was a freshman end on the Football team (class of 1967), and John was a senior several years ahead if me. We all looked up to John as a leader on the team and a fun person to be around. I am sure he will be missed by all friends. John would often be seen with Mickey Byrd, Rusty Simons, Tim Remaley, Todd Eldreth and many others. We wish his family well and will miss him sorely.
