Horton, Otis Rush

Otis Rush Horton, 76, of Pulaski, Va. departed this life at his home on Sunday, May 15, 2016 after a long illness. He was born in Pulaski on May 24, 1939 and was the son of the late Gilbert Henry Horton and Maggie Frances Reed Horton. Mr. Horton was retired from Volvo Trucking in Dublin, Va.

He leaves to cherish his memory his daughters, Elaine Horton, Delissa King, Debbie Payne; brother and sister-in-law, Jack and Brenda Horton; best friend and companion, Janet Dean; grandchildren, Stephanie Dean, Richard Warburton, Ryan Riffey; four great-grandchildren; and one step-great-granddaughter. He will be sadly missed by all.

A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday, May 19, 2016 from the Stevens Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Allan Harman officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 p.m. until the service hour.Arrangements by Stevens Funeral Home, Pulaski, Va.
