Hopkins, Elizabeth Pearce

Elizabeth Pearce Hopkins, 92, of Pulaski, Va., passed away Thursday, March 19, 2009, in the Pulaski Health and Rehab Center. She was born in Pulaski on July 20, 1916, and was the daughter of the late Wilbur O. and Lula Carper Pearce. She was also preceded in death by her husbands, Ferd D. Parks, Alvin L. Morris, and Bascom E. Hopkins; and by her brothers, Olin, Laurence, Oscar, Alfred and Ralph Pearce.

She was a retired employee of Pulaski Medical Associates with many years of service.

Surviving are her daughters and son-in-law, Nancy P. Faddis, of Galax, and Patricia Morris Terry and Wesley P. Terry, of Littleton, N.C.; son and daughter-in-law, Richard P. and Nancy F. Parks, of Pulaski; grandchildren and spouses ,Cynthia P. and Lee Goldman, of Plantation, Fla., Sandra P. and Jeff Fletcher, of Sunrise, Fla., Michael B. Parks, of Pulaski, Anne Elizabeth Schrader, of Virginia Beach, and Andrew E. Schrader, of Pulaski; six great-grandchildren; sister, Mary P. Gannaway, of Draper; and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be held 2 p.m. on Sunday, March 22, 2009, from Stevens Funeral Chapel with the Rev. John Grimm officiating. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery, Pulaski. Visiting will be Saturday evening, March 21, 2009, from the funeral home where the family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Arrangements by Stevens Funeral Home, Pulaski, Va.
