Holmes, Jesse Lee

Jesse Lee Holmes age 69, of Riner, VA went to glory to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, May 1, 2012, surrounded by his earthly family. He was born March 29, 1943 in Seven Mile Ford, VA, to the late Ralph Chesterfield, Sr. and Virginia Smith Holmes. He was also preceded in death by two sisters and a brother. Jesse was a Drywall Contractor for many years, touching many lives of the New River Valley. The family wishes to thank the many people who helped him through his illnesses. He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Darlene Holmes, and six children, Kimberly Albert and the late Troy Dale Albert, Jr., of Christiansburg, VA, Allen and Marie Holmes, of Christiansburg, VA William and Rexella Holmes, of Riner, VA, Theresa Holmes and Paul Muncy, Jr. of Christiansburg, VA, Elizabeth Holmes of Christiansburg, VA, Jessica and Jason Roop, of Riner, VA, thirteen grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, brother and sister-in-law Ralph Jr. and Patsy Holmes, of Fairlawn, VA, sister and brother-in-law Shirley and Jay Kennedy of Dublin, VA, and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, May 5, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. in the McCoy Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Lee Sarver and Elmer Armstrong officiating. Interment will follow in the Roselawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Christiansburg, VA. The family will receive friends from 6-8:00 p.m. Friday evening at the McCoy Funeral Home, Blacksburg.
