Holman, Ronald Lee

Ronald Lee (Ronnie) Holman, 66, of Blacksburg, passed away Tuesday, March 13, 2007 at his home. Ronnie was a heavy equipment mechanic and race car mechanic for Nascar and many local drivers.

He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. The son of the late Fred Glenn Holman and Ella Wood Holman Deeds, he was also preceded in death by his stepfather, Dale Deeds.

He is survived by his daughter, Vanessa G. “Spy” Holman and her life partner, Susan E. Light of Christiansburg; daughter and son-in-law, Crystal and Kirk Payne of Roanoke; two grandchildren, Lacey Levy and her husband, Mark and Lucas Quesenberry, all of Roanoke; stepbrother, Stephen Dale Deeds of Ellett; friends, Janice Holman Atkinson and Elwood Atkinson of Christiansburg; best friend, Melba Kozar of Christiansburg; and several aunts and cousins.

The family will receive friends from 4 to 6 p.m. Friday, March 16, 2007 at Horne Funeral Home and the funeral services services will be conducted at 6 p.m.
