Joseph Harold Hollins, Sr., 88, went to be with his Lord on Friday, October 21, 2022, at his home in Radford surrounded by his family. He was a retired rural postal carrier with 40 years of service and a member of the Radford Church of God.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Elson P. and Rosie B. Hollins; brothers, Pearman, Jr., Frank and Johnny Hollins; and step granddaughter, Regina.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 66 years, Lula Long Hollins; sons and daughters-in-law, Joseph, Jr. “Joey” and Lois Hollins, and Steve and Marcy Hollins; daughters and sons-in-law, Cindy and Jay Dowdy, and Cathy and Darrell Smith; grandchildren, Jeff, (Robin) Scott (Karen), Brian (Jessica), Courtney (Richard), Daniel (Alison) and Micaela (Keigan); step grandchildren, Renee, Rhonda, Jason(Lori), Michael and Morgan; great grandchildren, Lily, Abby, Becky, Chandler, Cassy, Emilee, Sully, Owen, Malachi, Ezra and Amariya; step great grandchildren, Wes, Livy, Tauren, Laney, Landon and Maddie; brothers and sisters-in-law, Ted and Sandy Hollins, Roger and Martha Hollins, and David ”Gene” and Pat Hollins; sisters and brothers-in-law, Rosa Ann and Les Fisher, and Charlotte and Raymond Akers; and many other relatives and friends.

We would like to especially thank his loving caregivers, Mandy and Casey, and the Medi Home Health and Hospice team, Marsha, Barbara, Annetta, Sue, Robbie and Megan for all their love and support.

The family will receive friends from 10 until 11 a.m. on Tuesday, October 25, 2022, at the Mullins Funeral Home in Radford. Funeral services will begin at 11 a.m. with Rev. Joseph Hollins, Jr. officiating. Interment will follow in Mountain View Cemetery in Pulaski County.
