Holland, Carlis F.

Carlis F. “Skip” Holland, Jr., 73 pf Wilmington, N.C. and formerly of Pulaski passed away at New Hanover Regional Hospital Friday, April 15, 2022. Born July 8, 1949 at Fort Bragg, N.C. he was the son of the late Alma H. Holland and C.F. Holland, Sr. He was also preceded in death by his youngest brother, Ronnie.

Skip graduated from Pulaski High School with the Class of 1968. Right out of high school he started selling cars and made that his career, at one point owning his own dealership. Skip loved living on the beach and being on the water. He had a passion for cooking and he loved his cats.

He is survived by his brother, Danny C. Hurst (Sandy) of Covington, Ga.; his sister, Brenda H. Childress (Pete) of Pulaski, and one aunt, Nancy M. Holland of Fayetteville, N.C. He also leaves behind hsi cherished nieces, nephews and many cousins.

Per his wishes he will be cremated.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to ASPCA.

Wilmington Funeral and Cremation is handling the arrangements for the family.
