Holdren, Meliza Ann

Meliza Ann Holdren “Giggles”, 45 of Pembroke, VA departed this life August 25, 2022 after battling a short illness in the care of VCU Medical Center. Born as joy to the world on October 1, 1976 in Giles County, she was a daughter of Melanie Clapp Frazier and the late Ed A. Holdren.

Meliza proudly worked as a lineman with the IBEW Union. She was known for the joy she would bring with giggles and her uncanny ability to make all laugh. She also loved to give joy in cooking a special meal for her family.

A hero is not just someone that wears a cape. A hero is someone who is resilient that goes above and beyond to show compassion, loves unconditionally and nurtures anyone that needs it no matter what. She will be greatly missed by her family and multitude of brothers and sisters of the IBEW.

Meliza is preceded in death by her father, Ed. Holdren; step father, James Frazier; brother, Jeffrey Holdren; and step-brother, Robert Frazier.

Left to cherish her memory to their hearts are her mother, Melanie Frazier; sister, Marti Holdren Foster of Christiansburg; half-sister, Sheryl Holdren Cecil of Narrows; step-brother, James “Bo” Frazier of Hiwassee, VA; and her loves of her life, her nieces and nephews, Falesha, Josh, Lexi, Ashley, Grace, and Austin. And granddaughter Lizzie from the open road.
