holdren_lydia_lloydLydia Elizabeth Lloyd (Liz) Holdren, 69, of Willis, passed away on Monday, July 4, at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital. God brought His daughter home after many grueling months of serious illness and hospitalizations.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William Lloyd and Isabella Lloyd Hawkins of Chester, Pa.; father-in-law, George Holdren, Sr. of Vinton; son, Jerry Holdren, Jr. of Riner; and four siblings.

She is survived by her devoted husband of 51 years, Jerry Holdren, Sr. of Willis; daughter, Beverly Harris of Radford; son, Brian Holdren of Riner; grandchildren, Tyler and Tessa Harris of Radford, and William and Thomas Holdren of Floyd; mother-in-law, Agnes Holdren of N.C.; five siblings; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Liz was born in Chester, Pa. and moved to Radford with her husband, Jerry, in 1965. She retired from Grucci, Inc. after 15 years of dedicated employment. She has left many who loved her heartsick, and will be forever missed.

The family will receive friends in remembrance at 5 p.m. with a service officiated by family friend, Pastor Matthew Brown, at 6 p.m. at Oasis Church in Radford, on Friday, July 15, 2016. Covered dishes are welcomed for a potluck immediately after.
