Hodge, Flora Lena

Flora Lena Hodge, 88, of Barren Springs, Va., passed away Thursday, February 22, 2007, at Trinity Mission Health and Rehab, Hillsville, Va.

She was born April 28, 1918 in Pulaski County. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Walter Hodge, Sr.; mother, Fannie Quesenberry; a son, Terry Elwood Hodge; two daughters, Stella Hodge and Dorothy Sizemore; a sister, Dorothy Wall; and three brothers, Harry Quesenberry, Raymond Quesenberry and Robert Gravley. She was a member of Riverview Church of God.

She is survived by eight daughters and sons-in-law, Jean and Harold Allison of Allisonia, Va., Helen and Wayne Edwards of Barren Springs, Va., Nancy and Ray Hill of Hillsville, Va., Ada Hill of Galax, Va., Della Duncan of Dublin, Va., Debbie and Charlie Corso, Vanessa and Jeff Utt, Zana and Lee Jarrells, all of Hillsville, Va.; four sons and daughters-in-law, John Walter, Jr. and Tina Hodge of Draper, Va., Billy and Carolyn Hodge, Tommy and Joyce Hodge, all of Barren Springs, Va., Kenneth and Denise Hodge of Pulaski, Va. three sisters, Shirley Arnold, Jennie Lou Stilwell, Ruby Mae Summers; one brother, Hugh Gravley; 32 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren and several stepgrandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, February 25, 2007 at 2 p.m. at Riverview Church of God with the Rev. Raymond White, the Rev. Wendle Gafney, the Rev. Michael Collins and the Rev. Tommy Barnes officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Christian Church Cemetery. The body will be taken to the church where the family will receive friends Saturday from 6 to 8 p.m. Reese Funeral Home, Austinville, Va. is in charge of the arrangements.
