Hill, Howard Douglas

Howard Douglas (Buck) Hill, 71, passed away Sunday, March 2, 2008, at his home in Christiansburg. He was a United States Army veteran and retired from Virginia Tech after 31 years in the printing department.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Earnest J. and Nellie Pannell Hill; and a sister, Doris Smith.

Survivors include his wife, Patty Proco Hill, of Christiansburg; a son and daughter-in-law, Mike and Leslie Hill, of Christiansburg; two granddaughters, Emily and Kari Hill; a brother and sister-in-law, Claude and Elizabeth Hill, of Fairlawn; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, March 6, 2008, at the Mullins Funeral Home in Radford with the Rev. Glennard Quesenberry and the Rev. Jerry Sloss officiating. Interment will follow in the Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Christiansburg where members of VFW Post #776 will conduct Military graveside Rites.

The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Wednesday, March 5, 2008, at the funeral home.
