Higgs, Estole McCoy

Estole McCoy Higgs, 85, of Willis, passed away Monday, June 2, 2008.

Survivors include his wife, Reba Higgs, of Willis, Va.; daughter and son-in-law, Joyce and Dennis Thompson, of Roanoke, Va.; son, Jerry Estole Higgs, of Winston-Salem, N.C.; grandson, Joshua Thompson and wife, Jackie; greatgrandson, Jaxen Thompson, all of Richmond, Va.; brothers, Burlie Higgs and Saford Higgs; sisters, Essie Dayton, Larmie Sowers, Pansy Lawson and Bonnie Scaggs; and good friends, Martha and Charlie Allen.

Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, June 5, 2008, at Maberry Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Dr. Allen T. Cherry and the Rev. Joe Quesenberry officiating. Interment to follow in Capt. George Quesenberry Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, June 4, 2008, at Maberry Funeral Home, Floyd, Va.
